Mistress Odindisa hails from the Viking city of Dubh linn. She was born in the Spring of 958 to wealthy parents and was married at age 17 to a wealthy, but unkind, man owning considerable lands nearby. Having no tolerance for his cruel treatment, she sought a divorce from him a year later and asked her father and brothers to present her case before the court at the Althing.

Upon hearing the evidence, the court granted the divorce and determined she was entitled to the majority of her husband's wealth, including a sizeable amount of his land holdings. Angered by the decision of the court, her former husband vowed to kill her and reclaim his property.

Being his only daughter, Egil begged Odindisa to flee to Meridies where she would be safe while he and her brothers dealth with the angry former husband. She followed her father's wise counsel, left her new holdings in the capable hands of her brothers, and traveled to Meridies. After Several years, and residing in various shires, she settled in the Shire of Glynn Rhe.

At no surprise to anyone, her former husband was killed by one of her brothers while attempting to forcibly reclaim some of his former lands. It is completely safe for her to return to the land of her birth and her family but she now considers Glynn Rhe her home and chooses to stay.

Odindisa receives much contentment from serving her shire and kingdom, teaching others about the customs of her Norse heritage and dabbling in the arts.
